In Store Return Policies

Non-Seasonal Merchandise returned in good order within 30 days of purchase along with the register receipt will be issued a refund to the original tender. Merchandise returned without the register receipt will be issued a store credit at the lowest selling price of that item.  No refunds or exchanges on Clearance merchandise.  

Seasonal/Holiday Merchandise returned in good order within 30 days of purchase and before the holiday along with the register receipt will be issued a refund to the original tender. Seasonal/Holiday merchandise returned without the register receipt will be issued a store credit at the lowest selling price of that item. Seasonal/Holiday merchandise cannot be returned after the holiday.  No refunds or exchanges on Clearance merchandise.  

Floral Arrangements may be exchanged once within 24 hours of purchase. No cash refunds! Custom floral arrangements may not be returned.  

Nursery Stock Guarantee
Nursery stock (trees, shrubs, evergreens) is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. Roses are guaranteed until November 1st of the year they are purchased. All nursery stock returns must be accompanied by the Nursery Stock Guarantee receipt.  See our Nursery Guarantee for the complete details of our nursery stock guarantee.  

Cash Refunds totaling $200.00 or more will receive a check issued from the corporate offices of Stein Gardens & Gifts.    

 

Returning Online Purchases  

Non-Seasonal Merchandise
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us immediately.  You may return or exchange any item within 30 days of receipt; however, the item must be returned in new, unused and resalable condition. Your return may be subject to a 25% restocking fee if returned and received within 60 days. A restocking fee of 60% will be charged for any item returned after sixty (60) days.  Shipping charges if applicable will not be subject to a refund.  

Seasonal/Holiday Merchandise
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us immediately.  You may return or exchange any item within 14 days of receipt; however, the item must be returned in new, unused and resalable condition. Your return may be subject to a 25% restocking fee if returned and received within 30 days. A restocking fee of 60% will be charged for any item returned after thirty (30) days.  Shipping charges if applicable will not be subject to a refund.  

Returning Online Purchases by Mail

For all returns by mail, the customer is responsible for the return shipping charges.  Before returning your purchase you must contact us for a return authorization number.  A customer service representative will reply within 1 business day with the RMA number, as well as the address where you should ship your return. The RMA number must be included on the outside of the package being returned.

Follow these steps to return your purchase by mail:

  • Pack your return in the original package.
  • Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories to avoid additional fees.
  • Include the RMA return on the outside of the package
  • For proof of delivery, we recommend that you return items via UPS ground or insured USPS.

Once the product has been received by our warehouse or vendor, a credit will be issued to the original purchasing credit card or PayPal account within thirty (30) days of the date that the product is received.

Returning Online Purchases In Person

If you wish to avoid shipping charges and choose to return your purchase to one of our Stein Gardens & Gifts stores in person:  

  • You must bring a copy of your packing list or invoice 
  • Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories to avoid additional fees.

A credit will be issued to the original purchasing credit card or PayPal account within 72 hours of the product being returned at the store. 

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If the item you have received is damaged, defective or the wrong item was shipped, contact us immediately with your order information and describe the damage, defect or the incorrect item.  A customer service representative will contact you within 1 business day.
