Monrovia’s Red-Leafed Mukdenia
If you are looking to add groundcover to your landscape this season, Monrovia’s Red-Leafed Mukdenia, or Mukdenia rossii ‘Crimson Fans’, is one you must consider! Described as different and exciting, the Mukdenia’s fanned, maple-like leaves display constantly changing, dramatic foliage color. The leaves emerge bright green with bronze tints, age to bronze-green with a faint red edge, and by summer mature to green with bright crimson streaks. Plus, this lush and colorful groundcover displays delicate, star-shaped white flowers in April and May. Plant it among spring blooming bulbs or use it to illuminate woodland garden and perennial borders. Plant in part shade to full sun (Height: 12”, Spread: 12-15”). Available at Stein Gardens & Gifts the first week of May.
