Knock Out® Roses for Mother’s Day

Developed by William Radler, a Wisconsin-native rose breeder, Knock Out® Roses have quickly become the most popular rose in North America.  Knock Out® Roses are easy to grow, low maintenance and the most disease resistant rose available.  They thrive in Wisconsin landscape and will bloom every five to six weeks up until the first frost.  Knock Out® Roses are self-cleaning so there is no need to deadhead them.  If you do not prune them, Knock Out® Roses can grow to be more than four feet wide by four feet tall.  Early each spring, after the last frost, they should be cut to between twelve and eighteen inches above the ground for maximum performance.  Although Knock Out® Roses are considered winter hardy, they should be covered throughout winter until the danger of frost passes.
