Tropical hibiscus plants love the sun and bloom all summer long.  They are available in single or double bloom varieties.  The beauty of the tropical hibiscus blooms is well-complimented by the beauty of its dark green, glossy and exquisitely-shaped leaves.  Tropical hibiscus plants need to be watered regularly and should be fertilized to maximize blooms.  Tropical hibiscus plants are non-hardy in Wisconsin so make sure to bring them inside during the winter months.  Place them in a cool area of your home where the temperature does not fall below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Keep the soil on the dry side during the winter months.  Once the danger of frost has passed you can bring your tropical hibiscus plants back outside to enjoy.
